Ways To Help

Greetings.

Here are some ways to help out with Enchanting.

- If you like it, tell others about it.
- Help answer questions tagged "Enchanting" on the Mindboards Fora(external link).
- We need more testing done.
- We need more documentation!
- Work on translating Enchanting into your language.
- We could also really use someone to spearhead translation — specifically, we'd like a way for multiple people to work on one language translation, together.

- We could really use some help with making Enchanting work nicely under Linux and on the Raspberry Pi. If you are willing to test, optimise, or help package the code, we'd love your help!

- Help out by adding support for a new peripheral.

- Any idea how we should implement bluetooth support? How about robot-to-robot bluetooth communication in a scratch-like fashion?

If you have of an artistic bent,
- we could use new graphics for sprites.
- Enchanting could be reskinned to look a more clearly different from Scratch. Maybe a pale off-white interface instead of a grey one, for example
- For that matter, we could use a better icon!

If you have wisdom to impart, we'd love to know what words we should put on the blocks to convey their functions to children.

We'd love additional sample programs that show off how to use Enchanting.

If you are a coder, especially if you know or are willing to learn Java or Smalltalk,
- I'd love to have the sprites on the screen actually rotate.
- It'd be awesome to do software sound mixing and have several channels.
- We'd like to re-work the way communication occurs between the NXT and computer.
- I'm sure there are many other things to do!
